ThemeDark uses the same indigo the share cards do. “Match my device” follows your system setting and changes with it.

Reading

How passages and sentences look in the reader.

FuriganaShow the reading in small kana over each kanji.
Fade furigana on Known wordsOnce you mark a word Known, dim its furigana (full again on hover). Fades the scaffold as you outgrow it.
Colour furigana by JLPT levelTint each word's reading by its level, N5 through N1.
Highlight words by statusShade New and Learning words so you can see what you still owe.
Passage coverage lineShow what share of a passage's words you already know before you read it.

Audio

Pronunciation and spoken playback. Clear voice by VOICEVOX (四国めたん).

Pronunciation voiceClear is a recorded studio voice, and the default. Device uses your phone's built-in voice: it covers every word, but on a single kanji it has to guess the reading and often guesses wrong.
Read-along speedHow fast the passage read-along speaks.
